Nameservers tell the internet which DNS system is authoritative for a domain. Change them only when the destination DNS zone is ready, especially if the domain already receives website traffic or business email.
Ecowebzim nameservers
For hosting on the primary DirectAdmin platform, use:
- ns1.newserverbox.com (144.91.65.142)
- ns2.newserverbox.com (75.119.130.141)
Use the nameservers shown in the hosting welcome email if a particular service has been assigned different server information.
Where to make the change
Sign in to the registrar where the domain is managed and open its nameserver settings. Replace the existing entries with both assigned nameservers, remove obsolete entries and save the change. A domain registered through Ecowebzim can be managed from My Domains.
Allow time for propagation
Resolvers around the internet cache DNS information. Some networks may see the new nameservers before others. During this period, avoid repeatedly switching settings because that makes troubleshooting more difficult.
Protect existing email
Before changing nameservers, copy the current MX, SPF, DKIM and other important records into the new DNS zone. If the new zone does not contain the mail records, incoming or outgoing business email can fail even when the website works.
When not to change nameservers
If the domain uses an external DNS platform such as a CDN or specialist DNS provider, keep those nameservers and change only the necessary A, AAAA, CNAME or MX records. Customers whose domain is paired with Ecowebzim hosting can use DirectAdmin for the hosted DNS zone.
Verification checklist
- Both nameservers are entered without spelling errors.
- The new zone contains website and email records.
- The domain resolves to the expected server IP.
- HTTPS is tested after DNS reaches the hosting server.
If the domain resolves incorrectly after propagation, open a support ticket with the domain name and the records you expected to use.
