DirectAdmin is the control panel used for Ecowebzim shared, email and reseller hosting. It manages the server-side parts of a hosting account while the Ecowebzim dashboard handles billing, orders and the service relationship.
Signing in safely
Open the hosting service in My Hosting and use the DirectAdmin login action. Single sign-on avoids repeatedly entering the control-panel password. The welcome email also contains the stable server URL and account username.
Files and the website root
Use File Manager to work with website files. A primary website normally loads from its domain's public_html directory. Keep configuration files and secrets out of publicly accessible directories where the application allows it.
Databases
Create a database and database user before installing an application manually. Store the generated database name, username and password securely. phpMyAdmin is used to inspect and import database content, but large production changes should always begin with a backup.
Email accounts
Create mailboxes under Email Manager. Set a strong password and note the quota. Aliases and forwarders redirect mail but do not always create a separate stored mailbox. For device settings, follow the business email setup guide.
Domains and DNS
Hosted domains can manage their active DNS zone inside DirectAdmin. Before changing an A, CNAME, MX or TXT record, record the existing value and understand which service depends on it. Domains using external nameservers must be changed at their authoritative DNS provider instead.
SSL certificates
AutoSSL normally requests a free certificate after the domain points to the server. If issuance fails, first check DNS and confirm the domain is assigned to the correct account. The DNS and SSL guide explains those prerequisites.
Backups and restores
Hosting accounts are included in automated weekly off-site backups, but customers should also download independent copies before major application updates or development work. A provider backup is a recovery layer, not a version-control system.
When to contact support
Open a ticket when single sign-on fails, the account is missing, a server service is unavailable or a restore is required. Include the domain, hosting username and the exact action that failed. Never send a password inside an ordinary ticket message.
