A .co.zw domain gives a Zimbabwean business a clear local web address. Registration begins with an availability check, but it also requires accurate owner and administrative information for the registry record.
1. Search for the domain
Open the Ecowebzim domain registration page, enter the name and select .co.zw. The search checks whether the name can currently be ordered. A name must meet the extension's formatting requirements and should be easy for customers to type and remember.
2. Add the available name to the cart
If the result is available, add it to the cart. You can order the domain on its own or add a hosting plan. A domain ordered without hosting can still be managed from the customer dashboard and connected to another service through DNS.
3. Supply the registrant information
During checkout, provide the correct individual or organisation name, email address, telephone number and address. These details should identify the real domain holder. Incorrect information can delay registry work or make a future ownership change more difficult.
4. Complete payment and registry processing
After payment is confirmed, Ecowebzim prepares the registration request. Registry-managed extensions may require processing before the domain becomes active. The order and domain status in the dashboard show whether work is still pending or complete.
5. Connect the domain
If hosting is included in the same order, the system associates the domain with that service. For hosting elsewhere, add the DNS records supplied by the external provider. DNS changes can take time to appear across different networks.
Before you register
- Check the spelling carefully.
- Use the real owner information.
- Choose whether email or website hosting is also required.
- Keep the account email address accessible for notices and renewals.
If the name is already registered to you elsewhere, do not submit a new registration. Follow the .co.zw transfer process instead.
